The truth behind all the hyped-up stories...

This question has been bugging me for quite sometime now. Nowadays, we can see many sophisticated women who are highly independent and most of them are married to their jobs. These women are educated and are self-assured. This stems from the education sysytem giving way for women to study alongside men and think for themselves. instead of growing up and marrying. Women can now have other choices to make such as pursuing their own career and making their own decisions. In short, women have come a long way from the docile and demure housewives they once were. In fact, women have also become stronger and wiser in handling relationships that have gone awry. For instance, instead of harping on about her break-up with Tom Cruise and vying for the media's sympathy, Nicole Kidman gathered her self-composure and went on with her life. She didn't dwell on her pain. Instead, she channeled the hurt into a postive one; she gor active in the movie business and is one of the A-list actresses in Hollywood.. she even picked up an Oscar along the way! Now that is a lot to say about women who can stand on their own feet without having men to do it for them. Besides, women are more independent than men. They mayve the weaker sex but they make up for what they lack in astonishing ways. But it all comes down to the law of nature in the end. I mean God created every living thing on this earth in pairs. Without each other, both would perish. So it's really no use trying to debate the inevitable. But personally, I still think women are better off than men.

Triumph over adversity is hardly a validation of the guilt infested psyche of fallen daughters of Eve.
Maybe I should have been born a woman, I would have stayed home watched the jets fly overhead.
Call me lazy, it is just something I often wonder about being a househusband, and this sites most

Yeah.....we'll talk about that "weaker" part after a man gives birth.

Men and Women are just different.  Women haven't changed that much, it's society that has changed.

If you think that housewives are "lazy" than you obviously haven't experienced what it's like to take care of an infant, cook, clean, grocery shop with a kid screaming at you,  and do laundry all day.  I did that for awhile..then I went back to work.

No, woman can't survive mentally without any presence of men around her inner circle. It is men who give an independent woman a different kind of view, a different feeling compared to those who are given by her female friends, and somehow different challenges to go with her lives.
And I think, the further a woman is from her marrying nature, the thicker the mask she'll wear

Women and men make the world go round. Where would we be without the birds and the bees?

As long as we realise that we don't need another person to establish our inner-security, then there'd be less battles between the sexes about "independence". We're all independent beings, but it's nice to find someone to share our security with. We just need to find the right place to find our inner-security in the first place. (If we think that's in another person then we're on shaky grounds.)

Oh, please.  I take it that you're not female, or you'd see what kind of an assinine statement that was.....
